Aldi will be rolling out its new Mulligan’s Stout (£4.99, 4x440ml) next month, offering a “rich, velvety, award-winning stout” that comes in 13% cheaper than Guinness.
The supermarket trialled the new beer in select regions earlier this year, resulting in rave online reviews. One consumer who tested Aldi’s product against Guinness declared: “That’s fantastic, what a beer. It’s rich, it’s creamy, good mouth feel, roasted Malt coming through. For me, Mulligan’s wins.”
The discounter is also launching a Specially Selected Chocolate Stout (£1.79, 500ml and Specially Selected Coffee Stout (£1.79, 500ml).
Aldi’s Mulligan’s Stout and Specially Selected Chocolate Stout will be available in its stores from 8th September, while the Selected Coffee Stout is rolling out now.
