Snack maker Burts is set to introduce a new flavour of Beef & Mustard to its Ridges range. Available from September, the new flavour will sit alongside its Reaper Chilli & Lime Ridges as Burts focuses on growing its brand into the expanding hand-cooked crinkle market.
The new hand-cooked Beef & Mustard Ridges uses real organic beef from Burts’ local ingredient partner, The Eversfield Organic Farm. Each 40g pack of Beef & Mustard Ridges is made in Devon, with a deep thick cut ridge that holds the flavour. They are free from added MSG, and artificial colours and flavourings, and will be available to all OOH outlets, such as independent shops, cafes, farm shops and pubs.
Dave McNulty, CEO of Burts Snacks, commented: “Offering bold flavours beyond our premium hand-cooked range, the addition of Beef & Mustard Ridges will support Burts in our wider plans to continue our growth, building on the success of our NPD in 2022.
“Expanding into the crinkle cut market will allow us to harness the opportunities that the sector offers and will keep consumers engaged. We’re passionate about all our products and ingredients, and we’re excited to be rolling out the latest flavour of Ridges to the OOH sector.”
The new flavour comes after the business witnessed significant growth last year, where the total revenue of Burts hand-cooked chips was up by 48% after seeing growth across both grocery and convenience.
