Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, the fast-growing ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee brand owned by Carlsberg Britvic, is launching a new 500ml glass bottle in the grocery channel. Available from 28 May, the new format will first roll out in Waitrose in its Original flavour.
The company noted that the sixth fastest-growing segment in the soft drinks category is RTD coffee, which is worth £367m. Multi-serve is the second most significant pack format for the category, worth £31.
“This presents a significant opportunity for retailers to expand their RTD iced coffee offering beyond on-the-go occasions and tap into the at-home moment to further grow sales,” said Carlsberg Britvic.
Following the success of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee in single-serve cans, the new 500ml glass bottle format (RRP: £2.50) is aimed at recruiting new shoppers while increasing purchases and engagement with current shoppers.
