Coca-Cola Launches Drink Created With The Help Of AI

Coca-Cola has unveiled Y3000, a soft drink claimed to be the first co-created with human and artificial intelligence (AI).

Coca-cola-Y3000The company said it created the Y3000 experience by tapping into how people envision the future through emotions, aspirations, colours and flavours, among other factors. It then used consumer perspectives from around the world and combined them with insights gathered from AI to create Y3000.

By scanning a QR code on the can, shoppers will be redirected to Coke’s Creations Hub, where they can use its 3000 AI lens “to glimpse into the future”.

It is the latest limited-edition flavour launched under Coca-Cola’s Creations platform and the third to debut this year. The zero-sugar version of Y3000 will be available in select markets, including the US, Canada, China, Europe and Africa. An original taste version will also be sold in the US, Canada and Mexico.

“We hope that Coca‑Cola will still be as relevant and refreshing in the year 3000 as it is today, so we challenged ourselves to explore the concept of what a Coke from the future might taste like – and what kind of experiences would a Coke from the future unlock?” said Oana Vlad, Senior Director, Global Strategy, The Coca‑Cola Company.
