Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE has launched its latest innovation – Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Zero – a new ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee beverage made with just two ingredients – coffee and milk – with no added sugar or sweeteners.
The RTD chilled coffee category continues to go from strength to strength, currently worth £325m in value in the UK. It is expected to almost double in the next five years, driven in part by expanding appeal among health-conscious individuals.
The brand pointed to recent research that shows that two-thirds of people are taking steps to moderate sugar intake, with 30% of shoppers citing added sugar as the main reason for not purchasing RTD coffee, highlighting a growing demand for alternatives.
Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Zero features hand-roasted Arabica beans from Guatemala and Honduras, blended with lactose-free Swiss milk. This premium blend of all-natural ingredients is said to be ideal for wellness-oriented individuals seeking a “high-quality, authentic and healthier coffee option, whether on-the-go or at home”.
Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE will support the launch with an integrated ‘Coffee, Milk and Zero Else’ awareness campaign. This will include shopper marketing initiatives, a national sampling tour, event sponsorships and digital advertising.
Georgia Lightbody, Brand Manager at Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE, commented: “We’re really excited to introduce Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Zero to health-conscious coffee lovers. We already offer a number of great-tasting iced coffee drinks with no added sugar or sweeteners, but the launch of Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Zero taps into consumers’ evolving lifestyle preferences for beverages with simpler ingredient lists. This product, containing premium coffee, fresh milk, and zero else, is poised to meet the needs of consumers seeking to moderate their sugar intake on the go or as an afternoon pick-me-up, without compromising on taste or quality in their coffee choices.”
The Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Zero 230ml variant will be available exclusively in Tesco from 3rd March 2025, with an RRP of £1.85.
