Gillette has launched a new line of products designed for men shaving and trimming their pubic hair.
Called Gillette Intimate, the range includes two electric pubic hair trimmers (£59.99 & £89.99), a pubic hair razor (£14.99), and pubic shave cream + cleanser (£9.99).
The products are designed to give a “gentle and easy” trim or shave, with features designed for “down there”.
The range is rolling out in Boots and on Gillette’s online store.
Gillette pointed to research around manscaping that found that whilst over 80% of men who intimate groom feel more confident as a result, over 1 in 2 (63%) UK men who choose to trim or shave the region have nicked or cut themselves when doing so.
The study also found that almost a third (29%) of UK men who intimate groom with a razor currently use the same razor for both their face and their pubic area – and two out of three use the same blade. For those men using an electric trimmer for the job, 42% use the same one for their face and their groin.
Callum Wood, Gillette brand director for UK & Ireland, said: “More and more guys across the UK are grooming their intimate area, but until today Gillette didn’t offer products with purpose-built features for such a sensitive and complex job.
“The line-up takes our decades of experience in men’s grooming into a dedicated range that gives guys the confidence to trim their pubes, shave their balls, or groom however they choose.”
