Golden Acre Extends Suhana Range In Tesco

World foods brand Golden Acre Foods is introducing a raft of new additions to its Suhana range, including a selection of Indo-Chinese spice mixes, seasonings, sauces and meal pots, which tap into this emerging UK food trend.

More than fifteen new SKUs are rolling out in around 700 Tesco stores this month (RRPs from £0.40 to £1.80).

Suhana-Indo-ChineseIndo-Chinese combines the key elements of Chinese cuisine, such as stir fry and soy sauce, alongside the spicy elements of Indian cuisine. Recently, this fusion of flavours has been steadily growing in popularity in the UK, with increasing numbers of restaurants serving the medley of spicy and sweet flavours. Supermarkets like Tesco are also tapping into this food trend by introducing a new Indo-Chinese sub-category in the world food aisle.

Rebecca Cutter, head of marketing for Golden Acre Foods, commented: “We’re excited to be at the forefront of introducing Indo-Chinese foods to UK supermarket shoppers with the authentic South Asian food brand Suhana, which we first introduced into UK supermarkets in 2022. We work in partnership with retailers to help them develop their ranges and introduce new lines which we know will be popular with consumers.

“Authenticity is increasingly important in the world food aisle, with today’s consumers looking for a more authentic cooking experience and taste. All of Suhana’s mixes, sauces and seasonings are quick to prepare and have an authentic taste which should appeal to both traditional world food shoppers and mainstream consumers. And all Suhana seasoning mixes contain no artificial colours or flavours and no added preservatives, which appeal to today’s health-conscious shopper.”
