Goodfella’s Introduces New York-Style Pizza Range

Goodfella’s is launching a New York-Style frozen pizza range, replacing its existing Takeaway range.

Goodfellas-New-York-Style-Pizza-rangeThe new line promises “indulgent toppings, quality ingredients” and Goodfella’s “tastiest recipe ever”. The brand noted it aims to help retailers attract the growing number of shoppers who regularly enjoy “fakeaways” at home.

The four flavours in the New York-Style Pizza range – Ultimate Four Cheese, Fully Loaded Pepperoni, Hot & Spicy Meat Feast and Sweet & Smoky BBQ Chicken – will have a stonebaked base with a large crispy crust, featuring on-trend toppings such as hot honey drizzle, diced pepperoni, roquito peppers, chilli and black pepper crumb.

A bold packaging design highlights the range’s “tastiest recipe ever” and its New York inspiration, with on-pack graphics showcasing the new base and loaded toppings.

Joining the pizza lineup is a newly revamped Goodfella’s Garlic Bread, now made with the same base as the New York-Style pizzas to offer an “indulgent taste and texture”.

Claire Hoyle, Head of Marketing at Goodfella’s, commented: “At Goodfella’s, we have a proud reputation for delivering quality and innovation that shoppers love – and our New York-Style Pizza range will do exactly that. The new pizzas have been a hit in consumer testing, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Our team has worked hard to deliver just the right amount of cheesiness, flavour, and crust thickness that consumers love.

“We know there is a big opportunity here for retailers – 65% of shoppers who had a ‘fakeaway’ in the past three months have said they have a ‘fakeaway’ at least once a week. Our New York-Style Pizza range is perfectly placed to tap into this ongoing trend and help retailers attract more shoppers looking for a convenient takeaway-style treat in the frozen aisle.”

The Goodfella’s New York-Style Pizza range (MRSP: £4.75) will roll out from 8th September in Tesco, followed by other retailers throughout September to November. Goodfella’s Garlic bread (MRSP: £2.50) will be available from 13th October in Co-op, and more widely available by the end of November.
