Holland & Barrett has begun a trial of a new ‘Drinks with Benefits’ service in Birmingham.
The takeaway offer features a new range of organic teas and coffees, hand-made by baristas. Each drink has been created to mirror the latest trending health and wellness ingredients, focusing on supporting people’s gut health, mental focus, energy and immunity.
The 16-strong range includes ‘Give me sunshine Latte’, which contains ingredients such as ginger, turmeric, lion’s mane, manuka honey, zinc and vitamin B5 that are claimed to contribute to normal mental performance and cognitive function.
Other drinks include Beauty Within Latte, Take it Easy Latte, Digest Support Tea, and Immune Support Tea.
The coffees are priced at £4.50, whilst the teas cost £3.
Alongside the range of Drinks with Benefits, there are also standard lines such Americano, Latte, Flat White, English Breakfast and Green Tea, with prices from £2.50
Rachel Chatterton, Head of Food and Beverage Development at Holland & Barrett commented: “Our team of experts have scoured the globe this past year to create a new range of delicious tea and coffee with actual benefits that’s all backed by science and nutrition. With the healthier coffee market growing, we’re excited to bring this new offering to the market as an on-the-go drinks option for customers. This also offers a great entry point for our customers to trial products and experience their benefits, with all ingredients in the new range available to buy and use at home.”
The trial drinks offer at a Holland & Barrett store on Birmingham High Street follows the retailer’s recent launch of 300 new own-label food lines to tap into the latest health and diet trends.
NAM Implications:
- Patently an innovative move…
- Remains to be seen whether shoppers will pay £4.50 for ‘Drinks With Benefits’…
