Long Tail – a range of mixers pioneering a ‘longer’ take on classic cocktails – has secured a listing with Ocado.
Launched in 2018, Long Tail is aimed at enabling consumers to recreate the more sessionable and flavour-complex cocktails, but without the extensive ingredient list and associated mixology.
The range covers five different flavours – Island Spice, Ginger & Lime, Lemon Sour, Blood Orange, and Hibiscus & Blackcurrent. The brand stated that Long Tail has been blended to enhance the flavour profile of both dark and light spirits, as well as being a no & low alternative when drunk on its own or as part of an alcohol-free cocktail.
Tom Wiggett, co-founder of Long Tail, commented: “Given the power of e-commerce, launching with Ocado has been a key milestone for us, and we’re excited to bring the experimental nature and unique flavour profile of Long Tail to Ocado shoppers.
“There’s been a notable change in at home mixology – not only are consumers experimenting with dark spirits mixology, but the rise in moderation has also meant they are looking to create more sessionable drinks which can be enjoyed over a longer period of time. Long Tail is well positioned to tap into this trend, enabling people to re-create those longer and more complex cocktails, but without the extensive ingredient list!”
Following a launch period with Sainsbury’s, the full range of Long Tail Mixers is available through Ocado, priced at £2.10 per bottle.
