Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats is adding some “fun and colour to the cookie aisle” with the launch of new Cookies with Chocolate M&M’S minis.
The cookie launch comes on the back of M&M’S minis confectionery launch, which is being supported by a marketing investment of £2.8m.
The brand pointed to research showing that more than 63% of big cookies are currently purchased by Empty Nesters and Retired consumers, whereas purchasers of M&M’S confectionery are considerably younger with almost 60% being purchased by young families or older dependents.
Michelle Frost, general manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats, said: “We anticipate that the launch of Cookies with Chocolate M&M’S minis will attract a new younger shopper to the cookie aisle.
“We believe that we have an enticing consumer proposition, with M&M’S being the biggest chocolate brand globally, a fantastic tasting product and eye-catching packing.”
Cookies with M&M’S minis are rolling out in both a grocery (180g) and convenience PMP pack (144g) with an RRP of £1.90 and £1.99 respectively.
