Mooncup, the pioneering period care brand known for its sustainable menstrual cup, is launching its first-ever period pads.
Rolling out this week in-store and online at Boots, Look Fantastic, and wearemooncup.com, Mooncup’s pads are claimed to deliver the same absorbency as mainstream brands, minus the plastic and irritants. They are priced from £2.85 and come in three absorbencies: Medium/Day, Heavy/Night, and Maxi/Night+.
A spokesperson for the brand said: “For years, Mooncuppers told us that while they loved the eco-friendly nature of their Mooncup, on days when they were out and about or didn’t want to wear their Mooncup, they defaulted to plastic pads that didn’t meet their standards. Driven by this feedback, our team embarked on a breakthrough R&D journey. It took time to perfect a formula that was both 100% biodegradable and offered the absorbency that beat the mainstream brands.”
