Speciality food importer and distributor Empire Bespoke Foods, which owns the Mrs Elswood pickle brand, is launching a new range of premium Mrs Elswood Cornichons.
The duo will make their on-shelf grocery debut in selected Sainsbury’s stores nationwide and online through Sainsbury’s and Ocado in July (RRP £1.65 per 215g jar).
Mrs Elswood Cornichons – whole, mini pickled cucumbers – come in two flavours; Original and Cornichons & Onion. They are aimed as being an accompaniment to a wide range of savoury foods and ideal for a cheeseboard.
“The Mrs Elswood brand has long been associated with a wide range of uniquely flavoured whole and sliced gherkins,” commented Jonathan Hehir, Senior Innovation Manager at Mrs Elswood.
“As the latest addition to the Mrs Elswood family, the Cornichons continue the heritage of the brand’s distinctive flavours but also offer consumers a new and modern taste sensation.”
