Nescafé, the instant coffee brand owned by Nestlé, has launched refill pouches for its Gold Blend and Original variants that use less packaging and help consumers save money.
The 150g refill pouch is 97% lighter than the 200g glass coffee jar and has on average 60% less plastic than the jar’s lid.
The pack is resealable and once empty, consumers can recycle the pack in more than 5,000 stores across the UK and through kerbside collection in Ireland.
The new pouch is also better value for money compared to the standard coffee jar.
Sophie Demoulin, Marketing Director Nescafé Soluble Coffee, said: “We know that Nescafé lovers are getting more concerned about the sustainability credentials of the products they consume. We are therefore really proud to launch this new coffee pack that offers our fans the same great coffee and the iconic rich aroma that they love in less packaging whilst offering better value for money.”
The new Nescafé Gold Blend refill pouch is rolling out in retailers now, with the Original pouch hitting shelves at the end of the month.
The launch is part of Nescafe’s packaging sustainability commitments, including reducing our use of virgin plastic by one-third by 2025.
NAM Implications:
- Ticks most of the boxes…
- i.e. Less transport weight, less plastic, more economy, resealable and recyclable…
- …and same brand.
