British chocolate brand Ombar has introduced Ombar Blonde – a dairy-free bar with a caramel and vanilla taste.
Launching in the Free From aisle of Tesco Extra stores, Ombar Blonde (RRP £2.75 -70g) is made with Fair Trade, organic ingredients, including cocoa butter, desiccated coconut, Madagascan vanilla, chicory root, and caramelised sugar.
As well as being vegan, organic, gluten-free and dairy-free, the brand noted that the bar has around 50% less sugar when compared to traditional white chocolate.
“Ombar Blonde is our modern twist on traditional rich, creamy white chocolate. It started as a playful, limited-edition tribute to nostalgic flavours like Caramac and quickly gained a cult following with our loyal Ombar fans. We knew we had to make it a permanent addition, and now we are so excited it’s available for people to buy at Tesco Extra stores,” said Richard Turner, co-founder of Ombar.
