Frozen organic food producer PACK’D is adding two new products to its growing range.
The new Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowls (2-pack, 480g, RRP £5.80) and Organic Açai (300g, RRP £5.80) will be launching on Ocado from 1st July.
The Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowls kit is a blend of frozen fruits and superfoods that is high in Vitamins C and D. The ready-to-blend packs allow consumers to add the frozen fruit pouches to 200ml of water, coconut water, or plant milk to create a fresh smoothie bowl.
Meanwhile, the new Organic Açai offers a simple way for consumers to create their own smoothie bowl at home, with the unsweetened product providing a scoopable option.
Katy Hamblin, Director of Marketing at PACK’D, said: “PACK’D exists to help people eat well and feel great, and to empower people to live a healthier and more sustainable life. All of our products are perfectly portioned and frozen so that consumers can get exactly what they need, when they need it, to reduce food waste associated with buying fresh.
“We firmly believe that frozen is the future – not only does it reduce food waste, but freezing at source can offer greater nutritional benefits for consumers, as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants all stay locked in at the level they were when they were freshly picked, rather than the fresh produce which deteriorates in the fridge.
“What’s more, frozen fruit and veg have a lower carbon footprint, as it eliminates the need for out-of-season, energy-intensive growing, and reduces transportation emissions as frozen produce can be transported by sea rather than air.
“Our latest launches demonstrate our commitment to bringing more consumers on board our frozen journey so, collectively, these small swaps in our shopping basket can have a much greater impact for our planet.”
