Peperami has launched its latest innovation, Pizza Buns. The snack brand stated that it had developed the new chilled meat snack to fill a gap in the market.
The ready-to-eat Pizza Buns are mess-free and ideal for consumers looking for an on-the-go or lunchtime snack. They are available in select stores from this week, with a wider rollout to other supermarkets to follow.
The brand noted that chilled meat snacks are one of the fastest-growing categories, up 10.8% in the last 12 months and now worth £259m. As consumers seek out more meat snacks, the new Pizza Buns aim to meet this demand by offering a high-protein and convenient snack.
The Pizza Buns are filled with salami, a slice of cheese and tomato herb sauce. They come in two Peperami flavours – Original or Hot. Both flavours are available in two sizes: singles (75g, RRP £1.50) and multipack (4 x 40g, RRP £2.75), packed in a case of 8 units with a five month shelf life.
