Pladis Adds Popping Candy Cake Bars To McVitie’s BN Range

Pladis has continued expanding its McVitie’s BN brand in the cake category with the launch of new Popping Candy Cake Bars.

Available in two flavours – Crackling Chocolate and Sizzling Strawberry – McVitie’s BN Popping Candy Cake Bars offer a combination of chocolate or soft strawberry sponge, topped with smooth chocolate cream or traditional light cream respectively, with both offerings filled with popping candy pieces.

BN-popping-Candy-barsThey are available in packs of five individually wrapped bars, aimed as a lunchtime or evening snack.

The launch follows BN’s expansion into the cake category earlier this year, with the launch of Mini Rolls generating £0.9m RSV since landing on supermarket shelves. Pladis is hoping to replicate the success of McVitie’s BN in biscuits where, so far this year, sales have topped £4.3m.

McVitie’s BN Popping Candy Cake Bars are available with an RSP of £1.25 in Asda, as well as in the convenience and wholesale channels.
