PROPER Snacks, owner of the PROPERCORN brand, has launched a new range of PROPERCHIPS made with chickpeas. The product comes in three new flavours – Ghost Chilli & Yuzu, Jerk Sauce, and Katsu Curry.
The brand highlighted research showing that taste is key when consumers are shopping for healthier options. The new PROPERCHIPS aim to offer diverse flavours and appeal to consumers seeking out healthier snacks that don’t compromise on taste.
The PROPERCHIPS Chickpea Chips range is under 100kcal per serve and HFSS compliant. Each pack is vegan, gluten-free and seasoned with natural flavours.
The company noted that its PROPERCHIPS lentil range is seeing strong growth, up 40% in the latest month and 22% year-on-year.
PROPERCHIPS Chickpea Chips are rolling out in Asda this month (RRP £2.00 / 85g), followed by Waitrose, Ocado and Sainsbury’s in April. Grab bags will be available from May.
