Remedy Kombucha has become the first kombucha drink to launch in convenience stores operated on BP forecourts.
The brand’s Wild Berry and Raspberry Lemonade flavours (250ml; RRP. £1.99) will be available from BP-owned sites across the UK. The listing of Remedy aims to offer people on the move a healthier soft drink alternative that is free from sugar and artificial sweeteners. Kombucha also contains live cultures (good bacteria), organic acids and antioxidants that are claimed to support gut health.
Remedy is the kombucha market leader in the UK, with >30% category share, and the third largest kombucha brand globally. Growing at more than 70% year-on-year, Remedy claims it has driven more growth in the category than all other competitors put together over the past 12 months.
Remedy is already stocked by retailers including Tesco, Morrisons, Starbucks, Marks & Spencer, Holland & Barrett and Ocado.
Anna Dominey, General Manager at Remedy Drinks UK, said: “We’re thrilled to be introducing kombucha to BP-owned convenience stores across the country, providing a delicious offering for people who are seeking a healthier option when they’re on the move.
“Our mission is to demonstrate that healthy can still mean tasty, which BP customers will soon recognise when they enjoy Remedy’s Wild Berry and Raspberry Lemonade flavours.”
