Sharwood’s has extended its Indian cooking sauces range with a new two-step kit in four flavours – Tikka Masala, Korma, Butter Chicken and Balti. The latest range has been designed to help less confident cooks easily create a “great-tasting curry experience at home”.
The new kits are inspired by ingredients from India and cooked in stages as per traditional methods. Made in India, the kits require consumers to brown their chosen protein, add the curry paste, and then the sauce.
Andrey Sokirkin, global marketing director of cooking sauces at Premier Foods, commented: “We know that many consumers want to enjoy delicious curries at home, without the expense or hassle, so they are looking for an accessible way to trade up for an even tastier experience. The new two-step curry kits, designed by our Sharwood’s chefs with quality Indian ingredients, will drive incremental value for retailers, appealing to home cooks who are eager to explore their culinary creativity in the kitchen.”
The new curry kits are rolling out in Sainsbury’s with an MSSP of £2.80.
