Vegan meat alternative brand Squeaky Bean has launched its first frozen range with a selection of chicken-style pieces.
The three-strong product range includes Chicken Style Breaded Nuggets (275g, RRP £3.00), Chicken Style Breaded Dippers (275g, RRP £3.00), and Chicken Style Hot & Spicy Poppers (275g. RRP £3.00). They will be available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from 26 March.
The launch comes as increasing numbers of consumers seek out solutions that can help them to manage their bills, with the total frozen sector seeing accelerated growth in value in the past 12 weeks of +14.9% . Squeaky Bean stated that it was looking to tap into this category trend, as well as the growth in frozen breaded chicken, which is up by 17.7% in the last year.
