Taste Inc’s Meat Snack Range Undergoes Brand Refresh

With rising demand for high-protein, health-conscious food, the chicken snack brand Taste Inc has unveiled a refresh for its range of ready-to-eat options.

Taste-Inc-meat-snackThe new Taste Inc Protein range features a cleaner look, highlighting the snack’s key credentials and macro-nutritionals to target younger, health-conscious consumers who don’t typically engage with traditional reformed meat snacking brands.

The refresh comes as data shows Gen Z shoppers are leading the charge with health and protein-focused snacking, with 18-27 year olds more likely to be concerned about levels of protein than the rest of the adult population. Taste Inc’s Real Flamegrilled Chicken Breast Fillets contain 7-8 grams of protein and fewer than 42 calories.

“Whether they are grabbing a single fillet on the go, or using our multipacks to fuel their meal prep and lunchboxes, we know our loyal shoppers value the range for being a cleaner, more natural option, and this refresh puts that message front and centre to engage new audiences,” said Taste Inc Marketing Manager, Hayley Rossiter

“In consumer panel testing, the brand refresh has delivered a huge increase in purchase intent – double that of the nearest competitor. It’s clear that Taste Inc Protein attracts a shopper who usually considers meat snacking as unhealthy.”

To support the refresh, Taste Inc is rolling out a national digital campaign, led by a new slogan: Prepped and ready for anything. “The refreshed identity is all about championing what makes Taste Inc stand out – real chicken breast fillets, strong nutritional credentials, and everyday convenience,” added Rossiter.

The refreshed range includes three flavours – Original, BBQ and Spicy Peri Peri – which are rolling out in Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

Original and Peri Peri are sold in multipacks of five individually wrapped fillets (RRP £3). The BBQ flavour is also available as a snack option in the Tesco Meal Deal (RRP £1.30).
