Tesco has reformulated its own brand Soleil range for an invisible finish on all skin tones.
The new formulas are claimed to blend in rather than leave a white residue while still providing a broad spectrum of five-star UVA and UVB protection.
An initial 13 products are being launched this year, with the whole of Tesco’s reformulated Soleil range launching by 2025.
The retailer is also continuing to cover the VAT on all of its sun care range to help keep down the cost of staying safe in the sun.
Head of Health Campaigns at Tesco, Oonagh Turnbull, said: “At Tesco, we believe sun protection is essential, and know that the cost of using it can add up. With the current squeeze on household budgets, money may be tighter than ever for many families.
“We believe that the safety of the nation’s skin should not be treated as a luxury and that everyone should feel comfortable wearing our products. That’s why we’re covering the VAT and have reformulated the range to give an invisible finish on all skin tones.”
