Thatchers Cider has agreed a new media partnership with talkSPORT. Starting this week, the Thatchers Gold brand will be sponsoring the cricket coverage on the radio station.

Thatchers Gold will be featured on the Live England Cricket Updates on talkSPORT, with a 10-second pre-recorded credit which will run on the live update every hour through to September.
“Live England Cricket Updates offer high frequency messaging to a sports mad audience during the day,” said Philip McTeer, head of marketing at Thatchers Cider. “We’re delighted to be working alongside talkSPORT this summer to deliver these all-important updates that we know cricket fans follow intently.”
The partnership will be heightened during the England Vs Australia Ashes test series in June and July.
Following each of the five-day tests, a round-up feature will be broadcast on the Hawksbee & Jacobs Afternoon Show, where the pair take a look back at all the action from the key moments and talking points. The show will be bookended by 10-second pre-recorded credits from Thatchers Gold.
The roundup feature will also be supported by 30-second pre-recorded promotional trails.
“With such a distinct broadcast style, we’ll be letting people know about Thatchers Gold in a way that reflects the character of talkSPORT, immersing it into the heart of the station,” McTeer added.
Thatchers already has sponsorships deals with Somerset County Cricket, Surrey County Cricket and Essex County Cricket; premier league football Southampton FC; as well as Bristol Bears and Bristol Bears Women; Bath Rugby, and Bristol City and Bristol City Women FC.
