The Gym Kitchen is continuing its NPD drive with the launch of a new High Protein Milk in Tesco (RRP: £2.20 for 1L)
Rolling out in stores this week, The Gym Kitchen High Protein Skimmed Milk contains 60g of protein per 1L bottle and will be the brand’s first venture into the chilled dairy milk category.
Targeting health-conscious consumers, The Gym Kitchen High Protein Milk is fat-free, with no added sugars. The milk has been developed using a filtration technique, which gently removes water at high pressure, whilst maintaining a low temperature, concentrating the natural proteins and lactose within the milk. This process delivers a high-protein milk with a slightly sweet taste that can be used for shakes, cereals, baking, cooking and more.
The Gym Kitchen’s stretch into the chilled milk category is another milestone in the challenger brand’s journey since launching in 2020. Over the past two years, the brand has stretched beyond its core chilled meals offer into frozen ready meals, pizzas, ambient grains, yogurts, food-to-go, instant noodle pots and, most recently, pancakes.
Commenting on its latest launch, the brand’s founder Segun Akinwoleola said: “We are incredibly excited about entering another completely new market for The Gym Kitchen, on the back of a phenomenal year of NPD launches across major categories.
“Our proposition around high-protein, nutritionally balanced food that delivers on taste, fits perfectly with the health consumption drivers around milk, making this launch a natural progression for the brand.”
