The Wrexham Lager Beer Co has secured a long-term order agreement with United Wholesale Grocers, and this marks the brand’s official entry into the off-trade sector in Scotland as part of its expansion plans.

CEO James Wright said: “We are thrilled to secure our first wholesale partnership in Scotland. As another key market in our expansion strategy, this opportunity allows us to bring our rich brewing heritage and premium lager to a wider audience. We’re delighted The Wrexham Lager Beer Co will be available to buy from stores which have been serving communities for decades.

“The team has worked incredibly hard this year and our ambitious expansion plan is going from strength to strength. It’s a fantastic achievement to be supplying the convenience sector and distributing with United Wholesale Grocers. Waqas Badar and Amman Ramzan from the team have been very supportive of our brand and we look forward to continuing this relationship. Expanding into the off-trade sector is a key part of our growth strategy, and we’re delighted to take this significant step forward.”

The move comes after the brand’s recent expansion into Scandinavia and Australia, and listings in Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Iceland. This follows the family-run business being featured on the hit Disney+ documentary, Welcome to Wrexham.
