Plant-based food company THIS will kick off Veganuary with the launch of two meat-alternative products – THIS Isn’t Chicken Kyiv (chilled) and THIS Isn’t Chicken Wings (frozen).
The Kyiv will be available from 1st January in Sainsbury’s, while the chicken wings will debut on 6th January in Asda and 13th January in Morrisons.
The THIS Isn’t Chicken Kyiv (£4.95 – 250g) is made from soya and fava protein, stuffed with a wild garlic plant-based butter, and covered in sourdough breadcrumb.
The THIS Isn’t Chicken Wings (£3.75 – 110g) are said to offer a hyperrealistic plant-based alternative to wings. The wings have a seaweed-based crispy skin that mimics the texture and taste of traditional chicken wings. Containing protein and fibre, the wings are also lower in saturated fat compared to their meat counterparts.
