Food importer and distributor Empire Bespoke Foods has announced a third major UK retail listing for the popular US breakfast cereal Marshmallow Mateys.
The new listing will see the frosted whole grain oat cereal sold in 449 Morrisons stores from this month (RRP £3.75 per 320g pack). It is said to have a sweet, toasted oat flavour and incorporates “a treasure of marshmallow chunks for a taste of indulgence”.
Empire Bespoke Foods noted that the launch comes at a time when at-home breakfasts are now a key driver for the category, with the move towards more flexible and remote working largely responsible for increased retail sales of breakfast foods.
