Waitrose is launching a new range of takeaway-style pizzas, sides and dips today.
The Urban pizza range taps into the latest food trends and includes a Carbonara pizza topped with pasta, a Detroit Cheeseburger pizza complete with gherkins and burger sauce, and a hot sauce dip with buttermilk.
There are also more traditional lines, including Pepperoni and Margherita pizzas (£5.50), Garlic Flatbread, Mozzarella Sticks (£3.25) and a Garlic Dip (£1.50).
The range will be on an introductory offer of 25% off from today to 25 September
Zoe Simons, Senior Development Chef at Waitrose, said: “The urban pizza scene is booming with restaurants opening all around the world, so we wanted to give our customers the same great taste and trends at home. We already have our Waitrose No.1 and Waitrose Stonebaked pizza ranges, which our customers know and love – Urban Pizza has given us the opportunity to experiment and to bring new and exciting pizza trends from the urban pizza scene to shelves.
“Designed with sharing in mind, customers will be able to pick up a whole feast to bring family and friends together for a weekend treat. The only difficulty will be deciding who gets the last slice!”
