Wall’s has launched into the supermarket meal deal category for the first time with two new snack options.
The Wall’s Large Sausage Roll will be stocked in Tesco’s food-to-go fixture nationwide, starting this month. Wall’s relaunched its sausage roll range last year with an improved recipe and has introduced a new pack weight of 100g for the meal deal.
Joining the new roll is the Wall’s Scotch Egg (113g), offering an alternative snack option in food-to-go.
Wall’s entry into meal deals builds on the recent strong momentum seen by the brand, with record sales last year after growth of 43%.
Jason Manley, Brand Director at Wall’s Pastry, which is part of The Compleat Food Group, said: “At Wall’s, our ambition is to continue to grow our availability and enter more meal occasions so more people can enjoy our incredibly tasty food.
“We know that category-leading brands can add real value to meal deal offers, giving shoppers the confidence that they are picking up a snack that they know will taste great. As the number one branded sausage roll, and fastest growing brand in chilled savoury pastry, we are well-placed to sit front of store with our delicious snack options. We know our new sausage roll and scotch egg are going to be big hits, and this is just the start of an exciting year for Wall’s in food-to-go.”
NAM Implications:
- A great way into the Wall’s range for those that need an intro.
- Meanwhile, the benefit of Meal Deal revenue…
