Booker Partners With Snappy Shopper For Rapid Grocery Deliveries

Tesco’s Booker subsidiary has announced a partnership with the home delivery platform Snappy Shopper to offer more grocery delivery options to its Premier and Londis retailers.

The wholesaler noted that members of its symbol group can sign up for the delivery service online, with shoppers then able to choose their local store via the Snappy Shopper website for deliverers in as little as 30 minutes.

The Q-commerce market is dominated by the food category, particularly snacking, presenting a growth opportunity for both Booker and Snappy Shopper.

Mike Callachan, Co-Founder and CEO of the Snappy Group, said: “Our partnership with Booker is a brilliant next step in our Snappy Shopper journey. By working with the Booker group, we aim to unite the worlds of wholesale, retail, brand, and shopper – empowering communities across the UK.

“We believe in fostering strong, long-term partnerships, where together we strengthen the convenience home delivery sector and provide retailers across the country with more opportunities to grow sales and attract new customers.”

Colm Johnson, MD of Booker, added: “We are delighted to be enhancing our offering with Snappy Shopper. To offer our retailers a brilliant partnership alongside helping them grow is another fantastic step for us. This partnership forms part of our continued focus to deliver the best choice, price and service for our retailers.”

NAM Implications:
  • ‘we aim to unite the worlds of wholesale, retail, brand, and shopper’.
  • If other q-commerce firms think this way…
  • …they intend to become a permanent part of the retail landscape….
  • …and will need to be factored into supplier strategies.
