Danone Launches Category Management Website

Danone UK & Ireland has launched a new category management section on its website for retailers operating in the convenience channel.

The brand noted that with it having eight of the top 10 water SKUs in convenience (Volvic and Evian), as well as being leaders in plant-based and baby milk, it was well-placed to use its category knowledge to help retailers drive sales.

The ‘Danone-The-Go’ website combines key category trends, downloadable planograms, range recommendations, merchandising advice, and tips, tailored to independent stores. The site aims to be a go-to for advice on relevant categories, with recommendations on the best-selling SKUs and what store owners should look to stock to help drive sales.

Danone will also provide monthly updates on the website, which will feature key trends, hot topics, and new product developments.

Charlotte Andrassy, head of category development – beverages & impulse at Danone, said: “The new website will give our retail partners an improved understanding of the different categories, whilst providing an increased knowledge of all our Danone brands. At Danone, we’re committed to providing the best support to independent retailers and this launch allows us to provide customers with the best tools to positively help support and help grow their businesses.

“As a business, we’re also on a mission to bring health through food and drink to as many people as possible. The new website will enable retailers to come on this journey with us, helping them make the healthy choice, the easy choice.”
