Parfetts’ Go Local symbol group has the most satisfied retailers when it comes to offering competitive prices, according to a new study by HIM.
The research asked 1,200 convenience retailers across the UK to benchmark symbol groups on a range of issues from value to service and technology.
The data showed Go Local topping the poll for offering value with 95% of those surveyed saying that it was competitive.
Go Local also showed improvement across a host of categories with retailer approval ratings increasing year-on-year. It saw significant gains in retailer positivity toward its range, marketing and communication.
Commenting on the study, Guy Swindell, Retail Director at Parfetts said: “In one of the largest studies of its kind it is heartening to see the hard work of everyone at Parfetts recognised by retailers with an overwhelmingly positive response. It shows why we are growing the Go Local symbol group so quickly and attracting retailers in record numbers. It’s clear our customers value their independence and our employee-owned culture.”
Parfetts recently posted record annual results, with its turnover climbing 9.8% to £380m and pre-tax profits jumping 17.5% to £6.1m. The growth was supported by independent retailers joining its retail club and Go Local symbol group in record numbers. The company now supports over 500 symbol stores in Go Local and 3,500 in its retail club.
