Nisa And SPAR Marketing Veteran Joins Snappy Shopper

Snappy Shopper, the fast-growing convenience store home delivery platform, has appointed Philippe Rondepierre as its new Marketing Director.

Rondepierre joins the Dundee-based tech start-up from Nisa where he has been head of marketing since 2017. However, he has nearly 30 years of experience in the convenience retail and wholesale sector and was head of marketing for SPAR UK for just under four years. He started his career with another Dundee-based company, the SPAR delivered wholesaler CJ Lang.

In his new role, Rondepierre will be responsible for creating, driving and implementing Snappy Shopper’s marketing strategy.

He will report to the firm’s Chief Executive Mark Steven, who said: “Philippe has a wealth of experience in the convenience retail sector spanning many years so he understands the dynamics of the fast-paced and ever-evolving marketplace that Snappy Shopper inhabits.

“He has an impeccable pedigree and outstanding track record when it comes to implementing strategy and tailoring marketing activity to achieve the best possible results – his role will be instrumental as we move into the next phase of our growth which has seen Snappy Shopper grow from a small base last year to national coverage today.”

Rondepierre added: “It is an exciting opportunity to be involved with an ambitious tech start-up in the sector I have spent my career in and in the city I call home. Snappy Shopper’s progress in such a short space of time has impressed me and I am very much looking forward to joining Mark and the team on the next stage of the journey.”

Rondepierre will take up his role at Snappy Shopper in September.

Last week, Scotmid announced it was extending its grocery delivery service to Edinburgh as part of its partnership with Snappy Shopper.
