Nisa Extends Contract With Ramsden International

Nisa Retail has agreed on a new five-year contract with UK food export company Ramsden International.

The convenience wholesaler stated that the deal has the potential to deliver £200m of sales over the five-year duration.

Akhtar Zahid, Managing Director at Ramsden International, said: “Ramsden International is thrilled to extend our relationship with Nisa whose expertise and scale has and will continue to be valuable to us.

“Our partnership with Nisa is key to accelerating our global ambitions and gives us the flexibility and levels of service that ensure we continue to deliver the best possible service to our customers.”

Ramsden International, which supplies a range of products to more than 650 customers in 133 countries, has worked with Nisa for more than a decade. The deal includes global export exclusivity for the Co-op own label product range, which features over 2,400 product lines.

“Nisa has demonstrated and exceeded expectations throughout our working relationship, through jointly incorporating and developing many bespoke procedures and always being open to review further mutually beneficial service enhancements”, said Zahid.

Nisa’s Head of Sales & Corporate Development, James Roberts, added: “Nisa has worked closely with the team at Ramsden International for many years now, and our comprehensive understanding of its unique business profile has helped to share a class-leading trading solution that mutually rewards respective parties and delivers maximum benefits.

“Through this partnership, Ramsden International retains access to a market-leading offer of over 16,000 SKUs and exclusivity of export to 2,400 trusted Co-op own-label lines, further helping both parties enjoy unparalleled synergies.”

NAM Implications:
  • Time for those outside Nisa to secure listings…
  • …and gain access to incremental sales
  • …both UK and within the Nisa-Ramsden overseas footprint?
  • Unless you prefer to allow rivals to show how?
