Nisa To Unveil New Store Format At Virtual Expo

Nisa has announced that its first-ever virtual trade show taking place next month (20-21 October) will include the unveiling of its latest store format designed for retailers with smaller shop sizes.

Nisa revealed at the end of last year that it was planning to launch a new fascia that is thought to have been developed to help it better compete with rival convenience symbol groups operated by the likes of Booker.

Attendees on the Expo event will be offered the first look of the new ‘Nisa Express’ store which is said to incorporate several innovations. Nisa partner retailers will be able to explore the visuals and see for themselves what the new format has to offer, as well as ask questions to Nisa’s format and development team.

Head of format at Nisa, Darren May, said: “We’re delighted that we’re finally going to be unveiling the new Nisa Express format to partners. It will obviously be a very different experience for them this year, but they will get a really good understanding of what it has to offer and we’re confident it will be well received.”

The event will also include category talk sessions, focusing on key areas including frozen, meals and BWS, as well as an in-depth look at the need to deliver value to shoppers through own label.

Events Manager at Nisa, Jenny Potts said: “We’d planned to introduce these sessions to Nisa Expo for the first time back in Spring for the event at Stoneleigh and partners responded really positively to them.

“Clearly we have had to make a lot of changes to the agenda to ensure it is appropriate for a virtual audience, but the online platform has made it possible to focus on additional key areas for retailers and so we’ll be sharing even more learning opportunities through the virtual expo.”
