Nisa has revealed that its retail development managers have been taking advice from premium mixer brand Fever-Tree to support independent retailers in growing their sales.
At an event recently held in Manchester, Fever-Tree teamed up with the Nisa field team to enhance knowledge of their products, share details about NPDs, and explain how to support Nisa retailers in merchandising their range.
The session formed part of an ongoing project led by Nisa’s Head of Retail, Victoria Lockie, to strengthen the expertise of the retail development managers (RDMs).
Lockie said: “Our field team is made up of some incredibly experienced people who have a wealth of knowledge about the independent retail sector, many of whom have run or owned convenience stores themselves.
“It’s really important that we continue to help develop the team by offering these opportunities for education on categories and brands, so they know their subject and are well informed when it comes to speaking to partners.”
Beth Bailey, National Account Executive at Fever-Tree, commented: “Sessions like these are brilliant to help us share information about our products and improve understanding of the products in the marketplace.”
Nisa highlighted that its field team provide its partners with tailored support on a day-to-day basis, and they are the main link between the retailer and the business.
Lockie concluded: “Our RDMs see and speak to our partners every day and so arming them with a wealth of varied information and insights about products and ranges is a great way to share with our independent retailers and support them in their stores.”
NAM Implications:
- This initiative appears to indicate that Nisa are in the market for category collaboration with suppliers.
- i.e. your opportunity to influence their retail development managers…
- …via brand learning events.
