Snappy Shopper, the quick commerce delivery platform operating in the convenience channel, has hit a milestone in its partnership with Foodhub: over 1,000 retailers are now connected to the Foodhub marketplace via Snappy Shopper, with more retailers claimed to be opting in every week.
Following a successful pilot, Snappy Shopper has scaled up its roll-out, with coverage expanding across the UK. The company noted that early adopters in retail are seeing an uplift of 10% in weekly GMV derived from the Foodhub platform – processed through the Snappy Shopper system, integrations, reporting and terminals.
“The partnership continues to create new opportunities for retailers, offering them access to Foodhub’s fast-growing marketplace, all without additional cost or effort,” the company said.
Snappy Shopper, an exclusive intermediary for grocery on Foodhub, noted that it is demonstrating the value of its technology beyond the initial Snappy Shopper branded marketplace. Retail has now embraced q-commerce in much the same way that restaurants and takeaways have done previously. Hence, a need for more sophisticated and integrated in-store and back office technology has become a necessity for those delivering high volumes, which Snappy Shopper is providing.
Mike Callachan, CEO of Snappy Shopper, said: “Our mission at Snappy Shopper is to help retailers grow by offering unmatched convenience for customers and making it easier for them to compete in a digital-first world.
“With our Foodhub partnership, we’re providing retailers with access to two leading marketplaces, integrated into a single platform that offers new revenue opportunities and streamlines order management.
“It marks our first step in Order Aggregation, a solution that empowers retailers to manage multiple channels in one place, helping them reach more customers with ease. This is a major milestone for Snappy Shopper and highlights why we are the technology partner of choice in the UK’s growing q-commerce revolution.”
Ardian Mula, CEO of Foodhub, added: “This partnership with Snappy Shopper makes it easier than ever for customers to order groceries through the Foodhub app, alongside our traditional food offerings. With the fast-growing demand for home delivery services, we’re excited to help even more people access essential groceries from local stores, in just 30 minutes.”
