SPAR Scotland has confirmed that it will return to the MacDonald Hotel in the Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park in 2024 for its annual tradeshow and conference taking place on 26 September.
Described as “Scotland’s largest show in the convenience retail industry”, the event brings together symbol group SPAR, independent retailers and company-owned store managers, CJ Lang & Son staff from support functions, and suppliers to highlight new products and identify future opportunities with SPAR in Scotland.
The programme will feature speakers from CJ Lang & Son, SPAR UK and SPAR International and over 200 FMCG exhibitors, with over 850 delegates in total.
Colin McLean, CEO of SPAR Scotland, said: “We had a brilliant event this year and we were blown away by the success of it all. Our 2024 event will take place on Thursday 26th September when all roads will lead to Aviemore as we return to the MacDonald Hotel and Resort for a third year running.
“The theme for 2024 is ‘Raising the Bar’, and once again we will have a few surprises in store for those attending. Our tradeshow will be supported by business presentations where we will share future plans for our continued growth. The SPAR Scotland Awards will return for a third year, and we will host a gala dinner.
“With over two hundred suppliers exhibiting this year, this event is hotly anticipated, and we expect demand to be high, so we are urging everyone to register as soon as possible – it will be on a first come, first served basis! This event promises hands-on networking opportunities like no other in the Scottish convenience retail market.”
Headline sponsors for the annual event have once again been confirmed as PepsiCo.
Jennifer Lea, National Account Manager – SPAR, PepsiCo, commented: “We are delighted to once again be the headline sponsor at the 2024 SPAR Scotland Tradeshow. Given this is the biggest retail event in Scotland, it is a great opportunity for PepsiCo/Walkers to showcase our existing products as well as a huge amount of exciting NPD that will be launching in 2024.
“The event allows us to proactively engage with independent retailers, company-owned store managers and central support teams, as well as contacts from across the industry, in Scotland, the wider UK and even internationally. We are really looking forward to supporting the event once again through our headline sponsorship and it is exciting to see invitations for the event already being issued.”
