Nisa’s retailers and suppliers were celebrated at the symbol group’s first-ever virtual Expo this week.
An awards ceremony at the event, hosted online by presenter and comedian Alex Brooker, saw Nisa retailers and suppliers recognised for their achievements
A number of suppliers were acknowledged for their high levels of service to the business over the last 12 months, as follows:
- Best Co-op Supplier of the Year 2020 – Stateside Foods Ltd
- Central Invoicing/Direct to Store Supplier of the Year 2020 – Bobby’s Foods Ltd
- Best Service/Availability – Danone Waters
- Best New Product – Mars M&M Block Chocolate
- Fresh and Frozen Supplier of the Year 2020 – Dunbia
- Grocery Supplier of the Year 2020 – Unilever UK
- Licensed and Tobacco Supplier of the Year 2020 – Heineken UK
- Format and Store Development Supply Partner of the Year 2020 – Activ Projects
- MADL Supplier of the Year 2020 – Ribena Suntory Lucozade
Meanwhile, Nisa Local Pinkie Farm, Musselburgh was presented with the award for Store of the Year (over 3,000 sq. ft.), with M&S Nisa Local in Blidworth taking home the 1,500-3,000 sq. ft. award. Also recognised with a Store of the Year award was Nisa Local in Saint Austell, who picked up the Under 1,500 sq. ft. accolade.
Two Own Brand Retailer of the Year awards, which celebrate retailers who actively champion the Co-op own label range, were presented to Nisa Local Fitzwilliam and Filco Supermarkets – Boverton Road, who received the awards for Under 1,500 sq. ft. and Over 1,500 sq. ft. respectively.
This year’s also event saw the introduction of the Newcomer of the Year award, which was won by Nisa partner Amacor for their Nisa Local store in Stoke-on-Trent which was honoured for its impressive developments and improvements since joining Nisa last year.
