Aldi has revealed that it expects to create more than 800 jobs in new stores across the UK between now and Christmas.
The discounter is set to open new stores in towns and cities such as Oldham, Flitwick and Coventry as well as others around the country, with recent reports suggesting it is close to achieving its long-term goal of having 1,000 stores in the UK.
Roles available will include managerial positions, caretakers and cleaners, as well as Store Apprentices.
Kelly Stokes, Recruitment Director at Aldi UK, said: “As we continue to invest in new stores, we’re looking for hundreds more colleagues to join our incredible teams across the country.
“Working at Aldi means a great working environment and real opportunities to progress within the business and we look forward to welcoming even more people to be a part of our success in the future.”
NAM Implications:
- More importantly, time for suppliers to focus on initiatives that anticipate these new openings.
- While rivals continue with business as usual?
