Aldi’s Unveils Christmas Advert Staring Kevin The Carrot And The ‘Leafy Blinders’

Aldi has officially launched its 2019 Christmas advert, which features the discounter’s popular animated character Kevin the Carrot and a nod to popular British gangster TV series Peaky Blinders.

This year’s ad (see below) sees Kevin escape the ‘Leafy Blinders’ – a gang of angry veg, led Russell Sprout – in order to put on a massive Christmas circus show backed by Robbie Williams singing his hit record Let Me Entertain You – albeit a festive remix.

Aldi’s comical festive ads over the last few years have proved popular with consumers and helped the chain grab market share during the all-important Christmas trading period.

Sean McGinty, Marketing Director at Aldi UK, said: “We’re all thrilled to see Kevin back on our screens again, getting up to his usual tricks.

“Kevin’s popularity grows every year and he’s becoming something of a national treasure! Kevin’s magical Big Top is the perfect environment to showcase the amazing quality of the Aldi Christmas range of food and drink this year.”
