Poundland will launch a national TV advertising campaign tomorrow to highlight the new clothing, homewares, and grocery ranges it has recently been rolling out in its stores.
Running until mid-April, the TV slots will be fronted by Irish comedian Alan Devally.
Over the past few years, Poundland has rolled out a sizeable chilled and frozen food offer to hundreds of its stores, and more recently revamped its clothing and homewares ranges with thousands of new and updated items.
The expanded range is now being introduced more widely as part of the discount retailer’s ‘Project Evo’ programme, which includes major makeovers to many of its 850+ stores across the UK and Ireland.
Poundland’s Commercial Director Tim Bettley said: “There’s been a transformation underway at Poundland for quite some time – in fact, a Poundland or Dealz in 2024 is simply light years away from the kind of store customers would have experienced a decade ago.
“With our significant investment in ranges, stores and service, it’s now the right time to invite customers who haven’t seen what we now offer, to come and take a look for themselves at the changes we’ve made.”
NAM Implications:
- The key is the opportunity to convince suppliers of the new potential via this new advertising campaign…
- …of a retailer made for the New Norm.
- Why not watch it and see…
