Adopt Amazon’s long-term priorities in your business.
Let’s face it: Amazon is certainly one of your largest single customers.
Yet, your teams still treat Amazon like a bricks & mortar retailer:
- Asking for forecast overrides without sell-out funding
- Requesting local Vendor Management discussions
- Launching NPD without e-channel packaging
The list goes on.
The point is: Amazon won’t adopt your priorities in the trade partnership unless they align with the priorities of the online retailer.
That’s because Amazon is a classic matrix organisation.
Initiatives and priorities are planned centrally and executed locally. Vendors can align their business operations but cannot “force” their priorities onto Amazon.
Here’s the better way:
- Amazon prioritises sustainability » Develop SIPP/FFP packaging
- Amazon prioritises profitability » Improve your joint Supply Chain
- Amazon prioritises growth » Define clear SLAs for and with AVS
- Amazon prioritises Pan-EU » Align your org structure to this reality
Want to outperform your competition?
This is how you’re doing it.
