Getir To Stock Co-op Products

Rapid delivery grocer Getir has secured a deal to stock around 300 Co-op own-label products.

Getir started trialling the new range yesterday in several of its dark stores across London, with plans to expand to additional locations in the coming months. It will be working with Nisa Retail, the Co-op’s wholesale division, which will be supplying the own-label products.

Getir noted that Co-op’s products will significantly increase consumer choice across the ambient and fresh categories, with items such as ready meals, fresh meat, and fruit & veg.

“Getir is committed not only to speed and convenience but to exploring new and innovative ways to serve customers looking for a broad selection of products and everyday groceries. These products represent the best of British farming, ethical trading as well as support Co-op’s charitable partnerships. We are excited to expand our product choices and look forward to adding brand new lines to our service that will meet the needs of our growing community.” said Getir’s UK GM, Kristof Van Beveren.

James Roberts, head of sales & wholesale corporate development at Nisa Retail, added: “Getir is enabling us to reach more Co-op customers across London and the UK in record time is an exciting proposition for us. We’ve always prided ourselves on the excellent range of products we make available and so giving customers the best possible choices when it comes to groceries and combining that with the convenience of rapid home delivery was a natural fit. We look forward to hearing what customers think.”

In August, Co-op expanded its on-demand online home delivery service through a partnership with Uber Eats.
