Online demand grocery delivery company Gopuff has launched what it is calling ‘Santa Hours’ to offer round-the-clock deliveries across London.
Due to high demand from shift workers, late-night snackers, and partygoers, Gopuff has extended its hours across the capital, staying open 24 hours rather than its previous 2am closure. The ‘Santa Hours ’ include 24-hour deliveries on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Gopuff commented: “Following the success of launching 24/7 deliveries in Bow, Holloway & Stratford, we are now rolling out across the whole of London ready for the festive period. This expansion is part of our commitment to making everyday life easier for Londoners, ensuring that the products you rely on are always just a tap away, any time of day or night.”
Last month, Gopuff launched a new campaign that will see it price-match Aldi on more than 50 everyday grocery products over the Christmas period.
NAM Implications:
- Clearly, UK consumers are willing to accept home deliveries 24/7.
- (a major step forward from the days when 1900 was the ‘safety limit’)
- This now increases flexibility in routing for fulfilment agencies.
- And Gopuff thereby not only gains the innovator’s advantage…
- …but also accesses the resulting economies.
- Watch this one go…
