Ocado Group has announced that Luke Jensen will step down from his role as CEO of Ocado Solutions, its technology unit which develops online grocery shopping operations for retailers around the world.
Jensen has held the position since 2017, playing a significant part in building the Ocado business globally, including signing its first international partnership with Spanish supermarket group Bon Preu that same year. Technologies developed by Ocado Solutions are now used by twelve major food retailers around the world.
Jensen will step down on 30 September 2023. He will be replaced by John Martin, who is currently a non-executive director at Ocado. Martin will start in the CEO role on 1 September to ensure a smooth handover between the two.
“Over the last six years, Luke has played a key role in our transformation into a global technology solutions business,” said group Chief Executive Tim Steiner.
“He leaves our Solutions business in a strong position to drive future growth, having recently established a global regional structure, with the appointments of regional presidents and the creation of a global Partner Success organisation. We wish him well and thank him for his contribution to Ocado.”
