Does your Vendor Manager ask your teams for Cost Support Agreements (CSAs)?
Make sure you assess the legitimacy of these requests.
Here’s how:
- Understand the root cause of the request.
- Evaluate your Net PPM over the last three months.
- Verify the funding amount based on sales figures in VC.
I generally do not advise brands to invest in CSAs.
But if you do, make sure your teams:
- Limit any funding to 2 weeks.
- Review funding extensions on a rolling basis.
- Grant any funding at ASIN, not account level.
- Request chargeback waivers in exchange for any CSAs.
