Philip de Ternant has been appointed as the new Chairman of foodservice buying alliance Country Range Group (CRG).
He has worked in the foodservice industry for over 40 years, as the Managing Director of Creed Foodservice, Director of the Country Range Group, Ambassador of Hospitality Action and holding senior roles at both Booker and Bidfood.
CRG’s Chief Executive Martin Ward commented: “We’re thrilled to reveal Philip has accepted the role as Group Chairman, and I’m looking forward to working with him even more closely to ensure our family-run wholesalers can achieve faster and more profitable growth.
“Philip is a respected leader and a result driven, hugely experienced professional with a proven track record. I have no doubt his appointment as Chairman will be a huge asset to the Group.”
De Ternant added: “I’m excited to get started and help our members continue to be as competitive as possible in this ever-changing and ever-challenging industry. I’ve been a board member at CRG for over 10 years now, so I already feel like part of the family, but I’m eager to work even more closely with the wider team and new members as we all work towards our future plans and ambitious goals.”
